- Veterans Verification

The VA is always looking for products and services for their VA facilities, clinics, national cemeteries, and many others. They are searching for small businesses to provide these products and services. As a small business owner, the VA is a contender for you, so do not leave them out.

- How Do You Become Verified?

In order to become verified, there are several processes that you have to go through. One of them is an online application. This application asks you several questions and to upload documentations. The verification is based on you as a veteran business owner; this means that you must have at least 51% ownership, management, and control of your business. The website you enter to do this is www.vetbiz.va.gov. Go to the website, and find a verified counselor for your state. They will help you go over the paperwork and application.

- Do Nonprofits Qualify?

A common question asked is, “I am a nonprofit business, do I qualify?” Unfortunately, the answer is no. You have to be a small business; the VA does not recognize nonprofits as small businesses.
