- What is REAP?
REAP stands for the Rural Energy for America Program which is a 25% grant reimbursement to ag producers or business owners interested in renewable energy or energy efficiency improvements to their operations. In West Tennessee most of the renewable energy sources discussed are solar and boilers that can make your business more energy efficient.

- Energy Efficiency Improvement Program
Energy Efficiency Improvement Program is for business owners in an existing facility that want to make upgrades or improvements to cut down on energy costs. Popular items that achieve this goal are converting to LED lighting, HVA system replacement, and window replacement to lower your utility bill as a business owner.

The REAP grant is for existing applicants that all the money must be spent upfront and out-of-pocket by you the business owner /ag producer and then you can be reimbursed the 25% of total eligible project costs. REAP grants can range from small to quite large.
Energy Efficiency Improvement grants range from $1,500 – $250,000.
